Giving Forward

The gift you carry for others is not an attempt to save the world but to fully belong to it. It’s not possible to save the world by trying to save it. You need to find what is genuinely yours to offer the world before you can make it a better place. Discovering your unique gift to bring to your community is your greatest opportunity and challenge. The offering of that gift – your true self – is the most you can do to love and serve the world. And it is all the world needs.  ~Bill Plotkin~

I like the idea of giving forward. Giving out of inspiration rather than guilt. Giving without expectation of receiving something in return. To me, giving back implies something is owed and being in debt does not come with good feelings. But when you give out of inspiration, that feels so good and amazing things begin to happen.

I’m inspired by people living the life they dream of. Finding passion, acting on it and sharing their unique gifts with the world, making it a better place for everyone to live. That is what I want to give to; a community that empowers each individual to strive for more, do more, find purpose and share those gifts rather than enabling them to stay in their current situation. A “hand up” rather than a “hand out”.

I’m inspired by The PONO Project (and not just because it’s my hubby’s passion project). I love to see people excited by what they do, wanting to share their talents with the world and inspire all of us with their passion. Making a living doing what brings them joy. Living on their terms, being happy and making a difference in the world. The PONO Project offers a “hand up” to those willing to work to realize their dream. What an amazing community to be a part of.

Check it out. If you are so inspired, join me in The PONO Project community. Hope to see you there.
